Hi, I’m Gabi, CEO of Lean.
I made this long and brutally honest on purpose. We’re not trying to get 200 applications. We’re trying to get 15 applications from the right people. Most people should not apply—and that’s completely fine.
But if you’re frustrated by the ceiling in your current role, tired of corporate politics, willing to give your 100% in exchange for accelerated growth, excited by the idea of having financial freedom by 28, not 48… this might be exactly what you didn’t know you were looking for.
The People Who Make It Here
Over 10 years, we’ve hired 74 people for this role. Only 6 are still here.
Not because they weren’t smart. They wanted to be employees—clear hours, clear tasks, clear lines between work and life. We’re building a partnership: full autonomy, real upside, but also real responsibility. Not better or worse—just incompatible.
Success here = Ownership + Relentless Curiosity + Rolls Up Their Sleeves
Ownership means the client is YOURS. Not your manager’s. Not “the team’s.” Yours. When their ROAS drops 30% overnight, you don’t escalate—you solve it. When they ask “should we scale?” you make the call. The goal is simple: you run the show for your clients.
Relentless Curiosity means you never stop asking why things work or don’t work. The industry changes every six months. AI is rewriting the playbook constantly. If you’re not genuinely obsessed with figuring things out, you’ll be obsolete in a year.
Rolls Up Their Sleeves means you don’t wait for someone else to do the hard part. You’re the one who builds the custom attribution model when the client’s CRM data doesn’t match GA4. You debug the Meta pixel yourself instead of saying “the tech team should handle this.”
What You’re Getting
Financial Velocity
Base: €1,500/month net (same as what I make as CEO)
Partner Bonus: $50,000-100,000/year
In 2025, we distributed over $300K in partner bonuses. Your share depends on client value, satisfaction, tenure, and channels managed. You become a partner after ~6 months of proving you can own clients independently.
Compressed Education
You’ll learn more in 6 months here than in 6 years at a traditional agency.
You’ll own multimillion-dollar campaigns end-to-end — not assist on them, not watch from the sidelines. You’ll operate at a level most marketers never reach — regardless of how many years they’ve been in the game.
People don’t leave because they outgrow this place. They stay because nothing else comes close.
A-Player Environment
Tired of carrying mediocre coworkers?
This is a room where everyone is as obsessed as you are. No politics, no passengers. Just people who own outcomes.
The energy of working with people who actually give a damn is underrated until you experience it.
The Skill That Survives AI
In 2026, if your value is “running ads,” you’re a commodity. AI can do that.
What we do is strategic judgment — understanding what actually moves the needle for each specific business. That’s the one thing AI can’t replicate and clients will always pay a premium for.
While others are scrambling to stay relevant, you’ll be building the skillset the market is about to value most.
What You’ll Actually Do
You’ll own 5-6 client accounts across completely different industries—each with paid media budgets from $50K/month to $2M+ per month. You’re responsible for everything: strategy, execution, optimization, and whether the dollars actually produce customers.
Your day-to-day is a mix of:
- Building paid strategies for businesses you need to understand deeply—their margins, sales cycles, what actually drives revenue
- Analyzing data across platforms, spotting what’s broken, diagnosing why
- Creating client presentations—performance reviews and strategic recommendations you’ll defend
- Campaign setup, technical implementation, optimization across all platforms
- Developing ad and landing page concepts (designers execute, you conceptualize)
- Client meetings—building relationships where they trust you with their budget
Here’s the reality: With AI, this list is changing constantly. What we’re doing today is different from six months ago. We need someone who’s changing alongside us, not someone who wants a fixed job description.
What This Isn’t & Who This Won’t Work For
This is not a junior position—but you don’t need to know performance marketing yet. There’s no senior Account Lead hovering over you. After initial training (3-6 months), you report directly to clients. We’re here when you need consultation, but you own the relationship.
We don’t have a “push” culture. We’re not going to assign you learning materials or create development plans for you. We have a pull culture—you take what you want. Want to learn from other Account Leads? Pull up a chair. Want more responsibility? Take it. But you have to pull. Once you’re past initial training, you need to figure out what needs doing without being told.
This is not a stepping stone job. If you’re planning to build your CV here and leave in 12 months, don’t apply. We’re investing in partners, not resume builders.
Required to even be considered:
- 1-3 years work experience (fresh grads don’t have the baseline yet)
- Track record of doing more than required without being told
- Comfortable with technology and learning new platforms
What Are You Actually Choosing Between?
If you’ve read this far and you’re actually the person we’re describing, here’s what you’re choosing between. You can’t have it all—here are the trade-offs:
| Corporate Job | Freelancing | Lean | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Income | €800-1,200/month | €500-5,000/month (good luck predicting which) | €1,500 + $50-100K bonus |
| Autonomy | What’s that? (rare exceptions exist) | Total (it’s all on you) | Absolute (after you prove yourself) |
| Client Work | Local companies, small budgets | Whatever you can land yourself | International clients, $50K-$2M+ budgets |
| Stability | Very high (and very boring) | Feast or famine | High risk, high reward |
| Learning Curve | Slow, bureaucratic, maybe a training budget if you beg | Sink or swim | 6 months here = 6 years elsewhere |
| Your Coworkers | Mix of great and dead weight | You work alone | Only A-players (we fire the rest) |
You’re basically choosing between three different bets:
- Corporate = Betting on stability
- Freelancing = Betting on yourself, alone
- Lean = Betting on yourself, with a platform
If stability sounds best, go corporate. If you want total independence, go freelance. If you want velocity with a team behind you, keep reading.
